December News and Notes
Dear Matey Families,
I have no idea how it is almost Christmas break. I know we aren’t supposed to blink, and I’m pretty sure I didn’t, but here we are already!
We will continue to head out to play as much as we can. (Monday looks like a great day!) Don’t forget a jacket every day in case the sun is sunny but the wind is chilly.
PTO will be picking up our boxtops sometime on Monday. Thank you for sending them in!
If you are participating in our angel tree gift, items are due by Tuesday, the 12th. Please see attachment. Thank you!
Tue, Dec. 12, 8:30 am in the gym. All parents are welcome. Please send your favorite kindergartener in red/green/Christmas clothes. We have been working very hard on our songs and we can’t wait for you to see us sing. Bring your camera!
Jingles and Jammies
Mon, Dec. 18, Jingle and Jammies. We will spend our day on holiday themed math, science, and writing activities. Your Matey may wear their jammies. Don’t forget tennis shoes in case the weather is nice at play time.
Our class party will be Tues, Dec 19, from 1:45-2:45. All parents are invited; please let Mrs. Catron (Charlie’s mom) or me know if you plan to attend. (No siblings, please.) We will have a book exchange. Please send in a new, wrapped book (in the $5 range) by Friday. If you ordered from Scholastic, books should be in any day now. I hope!
Wed, Dec 20, is a half day for students. No lunch will be served as we dismiss at 11:30.
I know it gets crazy quickly this time of year. I’m trying to keep the kindergarten part as simple as possible. J
See you Tuesday!
