Transportation Procedures at Oak Elementary School

The faculty and staff of Oak Elementary are deeply committed to providing a safe environment for your children. This is one of our highest priorities. It is our sincere desire to make the arrival and dismissal procedures safe, quick, and efficient for all.

We would request that no student be checked out after 2:30. Early dismissals are disruptive to the instructional program and effect participation in the HATS program. If it becomes necessary to check out a student after 2:30 p.m., school parking is allowed on Andrews Road.

Only school buses will be allowed in the front parking lot between the hours of 7:30 - 8:00 a.m. and between the hours of 2:15 - 3:10 p.m. Visitors arriving at school between 7:30 - 8:00 a.m. will be asked to park on Andrews.

Please enter the parking lot off Oak Rd, for the main car rider line. School personnel will be outside to assist in keeping the car lines moving smoothly. For safety, follow their directions. When loading and unloading your child, keep your car in park and do not use your cell phones. Please do not get out, we will have someone to assist your child. We ask that all cars going through the car line in the afternoon have their car number prominently displayed.

This is the parking lot that is located off Andrews. This lot is reserved for specific classes. A car tag will be issued for this parking lot.

Bike riders and walkers are dismissed at 3:00 through the doors leading to the map. Bikes are walked on campus and they are secured to the bike rack with a lock.
