I'm so excited to be back here at Oak Elementary, but starting this year, I will be here ALL the time! I am a native Memphian, I am married to a lovely woman and have two teenage boys. I received my BFA in Design/illustration Arts from the Memphis College of Art, as well as my graduate/MAT-teaching studies. My goal as a teacher is to provide your child with a safe and creative learning environment, so that they can learn to visually express themselves through art.  Art isn't magic, it's something all of us can do. My class is  about expression,  imagination, and learning to find our own unique, personal visual language in a welcoming, supportive atmosphere. Our class will explore various cultures, artists, art making techniques, and media.  The lessons will generally relate to at least one general education subject whether it be math, literature, social studies, geography, or science.  Thank you so much in advance for sending your child with the requested art materials.
